50th Annual Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show

     I had the pleasure of entering 'Twirly Whirly' and 'Together' into the 50th Annual Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show.  For the past few years, I have been wanting to enter some quilts, so I finally applied earlier this year and was accepted.  Whooo!

     As someone who grew up in Central Oregon, I have always known about the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show.  When I was younger, the Quilt Show always coincided with a soccer tournament happening over in the valley, and we had to travel through Sisters to get to where we were headed.  There was always such a long line and such a long wait to get through Sisters.  And you know what I thought?  What is so cool about quilts and why are there so many people who want to do this?!  Haha!  Now, here I am some twenty years later entering quilts into the show and designing quilt patterns.  Isn't it funny how life changes and comes full circle?!  I never would have thought that I would be quilting, yet alone entering quilts into the show!  Ah, life!

     The show was so nicely put together, as usual, and the display of talent was incredible to see.   There was so much variety in style, technique and color.   It is so nice to see everyone's personality come through through their quilts.  This is one quilt show that I hope to come back to year after year.
