Jane learned how to sew "back in the day" when sewing classes were an elective in the high school curriculum. For many years, her sewing focused mostly on garment making, including costumes. She has dabbled in all areas of fabric construction including making bags, decorative pillows, toys, window treatments, holiday decorations, and quilts. The latter has now become her primary focus in the sewing room. Like most sewists, she has numerous projects in the works at any given time. Additionally, Jane has 3 embroidery machines and a serger. When not at her regular full-time job, you're likely to find her in the sewing room.

Thoughts on the Twirly Whirly Pattern: "I love how effortlessly this pattern comes together and how it looks great in every color way imaginable. It's amazing how movement within the quilt top is created by just alternating between the two quilt blocks and rotating some. This is a quilt pattern that will definitely be coming back to my sewing table in order to make more blocks and whole quilt tops!"

"Owner of Nolichucky Vineyard and Tennessee Quilt retreats. Quilting relaxes me and allows me to have a creative outlet in a busy life. I enjoy combining my passion and business. I have been in business since 2021. Our retreats are both self and teacher lead workshops. We were hit hard by Hurricane Helene and having the opportunity to rely on pattern testing to ground me and stay focus was so important during the height of chaos. The Twirly Whirly pattern now has special meaning to me."
