Behind the Name

For those who create, they do so for others.  Anyone who sews or quilts, makes or creates is usually doing so for someone else, or with someone else in mind.  If you have ever received a handmade creation from someone, you know beyond a doubt it was created with love.

Every aspect of making a quilt comes with thought about the end product and user; from picking out a pattern, fabric selection, thread selection, what batting to use, quilting design, who to use for quilting, label design, and how it will be presented.

There is no getting away from the love and dedication that goes into making and creating.  Know, if you are ever receiving a handmade gift, that so much has gone into the creation process, and it is done so with love.

Knowing this, not only are makers making for others, they are making for themselves.  There is both extrinsic and intrinsic gratification and joy. There is a joy of making and loving the process to get to the final product.  Don’t rush every step you need to take in order to get to the final product, they matter.  Do so, with love.

Creating is my bliss, and these patterns are my gift to you in hopes that you will go out and find your bliss!
